Geography Field Trip

05.06.15

On Thursday Year 10 Geographers went on a field trip to the pretty Peak District village of Hartington, to find out what impact tourism had on the area.  On the trip, in gorgeous sunshine, the pupils collected data for an Environmental Quality Survey, a Ground Floor Function Survey, as well as questionnaires that were used to collect information from tourists in the village. This trip was designed to develop their data collection skills before going to Liverpool next year, where they will undertake more thorough field work, which will involve them working more independently. It was an excellent day, topped off with an ice cream and a trip to The Old Cheese Shop, which is part of the village heritage.

Well done Year 10 for being such a great group to take out for the day, you represented the school very well.
